Andrea Bocelli was honoured with the 2402nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday. The blind tenor, 51, looking delighted, knelt to feel his star, which is situated outside the Roosevelt Hotel. He told Ansa that the honour was a sign of the American public’s affection for him

Talk show hosts in despair

Italy’s many talk show hosts and TV anchormen are in despair following a decision by RAI to ban political talk shows until after the regional elections at the end of March. This is because Italy has an equal media access rule for all legal political parties, guaranteeing them equal air time. In the past, some shows have not respected the time rule.

In a week which saw the setting up and speedy closure in Italy of a facebook group which encouraged the derision of children with Down’s Syndrome, a Milan court has found three Google officers guilty of invasion of the privacy of a Down’s Syndrome teenager who was shown being bullied in a 2006 video clip.
